I am confused, how much time should I allow before my wedding to organise and finalise my gown?

This varies from store to store. At Diane Lewis Bridal Couture 'DLBC' we require between 10 - 6 months. This is of course dependant on what time of year your wedding is. In high traffic times i.e. Sept - Nov and Jan - April it is far safer to book your gown, giving us plenty of time. WE DO LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF COUTURE GOWNS WE UNDERTAKE AND DO GET BOOKED UP IN THE HIGH TRAFFIC TIMES OFTEN 6 MONTHS PLUS PRIOR. It is important that we maintain our high standard of quality and would not compromise our reputation or your bridal gown by not allowing enough time.

I've only just got engaged and would love a 'Diane Lewis' gown but want to get married in 4 months. Is there any possibility of having one of your gowns?

Ask and you will receive, however we would be unable to offer a couture gown due to time restraints. Our ready to wear collection is a great alternative and we can generally accomodate you. Please refer to 'COLLECTIONS' and 'IN HOUSE STYLING'.

Should I choose a Diane Lewis Couture or ready-to-wear gown?

Both collections are designed and styled by Diane, made from quality fabrics and in our workrooms. However the couture collection is made from premier fabrics that require greater lead times and are more labour intensive. The ready-to -wear collection on the other hand, have simplified styling, so budget, desire and time restraints is what sets these two options apart. PLEASE REFER TO IN HOUSE STYLING FOR FULL EXPLANATION.

I've bought my gown elsewhere! Can you make my bridesmaids' gowns? I went to the wedding of a girlfriend and loved the bridesmaids' gowns that my girlfriend had you make.

Unfortunately, Diane can only offer this service for brides who have booked a couture gown with her. As Diane does not offer a bridesmaid's range you may have gone to a wedding where our client chose for Diane to style all the garments in the bridal party around a specific theme. As this is a specialised styling project, we must insist on making all the garments including the Bridal gown to maintain a consistent quality. SEE IN HOUSE STYLING.

I love one of your gowns but would like to get my bridesmaids' gowns elsewhere. Is it a problem?

Absolutely not, we are happy to make the gown of your dreams. Each client is free to utilise as many or as little of our additional in-house services that are available without pressure or prejudice. At the end of the day, we feel privileged and excited that you have chosen us to create your dream gown.

I live interstate (outside NSW). Where can I purchase one of your gowns?

Our gowns are only available at our flagship store in Leichhardt. The exciting part is that we have many interstate clients who fly to Sydney for fittings. Please contact us in relation to how we can make this work for you.

Can I come in and browse at your collection before I make an appointment?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accomodate browsers. To maintain a high level of service consistently, we work by appointment only to give those who have set aside the time our unabided attention - the attention that all brides deserve when selecting their dream gown!

How much time should I set aside for my first appointment?

Couture appointments with Diane are 1-1hr 15 mins duration. Ready-to-wear appointments are 30-45 mins long.

I've bought my fabric and some lace, can you make it into a gown?

Every fabric, lace and trim that we have utilised in our garments are laboratory and dry clean tested to ensure not only the premium quality of our product but also your after wear maintenance is guaranteed. Unfortunately, fabrics and laces that are purchased outside our quality control can not be guaranteed. Therefore, we would have to decline your request.
